Ever feel like you just need to get in a van and go? Yeah. That's the whole plan.
I'm Sherm — and I'm turning Green, my childhood VW Bus, into a home on wheels for me, my Wife, and our two cats to travel the entire US. No pressure. But if that sounds like your kind of thing, stick around.
Look — I'm not a mechanic by trade. I'm just a dude who grew up riding in the back of a VW bus and never got over it. Green has been sitting for years, and I finally said "it's time."
So now I'm out here every day — rebuilding, learning as I go, making mistakes, figuring it out. Type 4 engines, rust repair, upholstery, you name it. If I can do it, you can do it.
The end goal? Pack up, hit the road, and see this whole beautiful country with my Wife and our two fur babies. That's it. That's the dream. 🌎
Real builds, real talk, and a whole lot of heart.
Weekly build updates, real problems, real solutions. Watching me figure out hydraulic lifters at midnight is basically free entertainment.
Me, my Wife, and our two cats Cybin & Beverly. We're a package deal. The cats mostly supervise and judge my welds. Fair enough.
Tour the entire US in a '77 VW Bus we built with our own hands. Sounds crazy? Maybe. But that's kinda the point, right?
Maybe you've got your own project sitting in the garage. Maybe you're stuck at a desk dreaming about the open road. Maybe you just love watching someone turn a rusty shell into something beautiful.
Whatever brought you here — welcome. This community is full of people who get it. People who know that building something with your hands changes something inside you too.
No pressure. No gatekeeping. Just good vibes and greasy hands. 🤝
Hit follow, say what's up, and let's turn this bus into the Mean, Green, Vanlife Machine she was always meant to be.
